KAMAKURA

Went to Kamakura on Sunday as it is a place highly recommended by the locals as well as on many foreigners and sight seeing sites.

So first stop is the Engakuji Temple

It was great that the sky was clear and blue so we could explore.

The scenery was so picturesque.

Looks like a picture straight out from Google, doesnt it?

Then as we were onto our next adventure, we saw many children eating this biscuit and so we decided to try.

After eating, we continued our journey and saw a school. They were having an open house or festival and anyone could go in so we went in to have a look at what Japanese school was like.

Next, we explored Jochiji Temple. Being one of the 5 zen temples. It really lives up to its name.

Took some photos because the scenery was so beautiful.

Being at peace pose.

Then we wanted to go to the money washing temple: Zeniarai Benten Temple. But first, we had to hike up a super steep mountain. WHICH WE WERENT PREPARED FOR HAHAHAH
Dress in skirts and flats.

Just some photos on our way up

But after all the tiring hike and treacherous height. We made it and it was all worth the hike.

The place was gorgeous.

Love the hydrangeas.

And here we are at the Money Washing Temple.

And then this is us trying to dry our money after the washing

Then after money washing, we rushed to the Big Buddha temple but it was already closed.

Hence we decided to stack stones and make wishes.

Then after we took the bus to kamakura station to have dinner. And on fujimori's recommendation, we bought the chicken biscuit to try out.

At komachi Dori to do some shopping.

And at last dinner at Caraway, traditional Japanese curry. We were the last customers so lucky us.

And that concludes our last weekend in Japan. Sad to leave but memories etched in our hearts. <3
