The Day We Became Pokemon Masters

Visited Meiji Jingu in the morning as it is one the more popular tourists sights and definitely it did not let us down.

As soon as we stepped out of the Meiji Jingu Station and walked toward the Shrine, we were greeted by the sight of many trees and the perfect weather. The scenery made the walk to the Shrine a breeze and relaxing.

Just some photos we took along the way on our walk to the Meiji Jingu Shrine.

Tourists being tourists~~

And girls being girls~~

As we walked into the Shrine, the wishing tree caught our attention. We immediately walked there to make our wish.

Vanessa and her wish

After making our wishes, we went onto taking photos around the Shrine.

After visiting the Shrine, we went to Harajuku's Ichiran to have their ramen. This is a super popular ramen shop and we had to try it no matter what. It was a restaurant where customers get to eat alone facing a wall. This style of eating has its advantages and disadvantages. Especially if you are a person that appreciates privacy and some alone time, this style would definitely suit you. However, if you are a person that needs company and conversation while eating, this might not suit you so much.

Their ramen had options where you could choose how thick the soup you would like and how much spices you prefer. So this was a sort of a personal customization for the diners.

After lunch at Ichiran, we went on our way to Ikebukuro. While passing the Metro, we saw a few marts selling food items and decided to pop in to have a look. Then we saw this. The Japanese version of Singapore's "Char Kway Tiao". It was interesting to see that our food made it overseas. HAHAH

On our way to SunShine City where the pokemon centre was at. Their streets are so pretty.

Finally reached the Pokemon centre.

Gotta catch 'em all..

Favourite pokemon is Snorlax. Probably because we are the human Snorlax.

And of course not forgetting Pikachu

Ate dinner at Saizeriya at Ikebukuro as we wanted to see the difference between Japan and Singapore's. Definitely tasted better and is cheaper.

After dinner, to make use of our 600yen day ticket, we took the Metro to Roppongi Hills to admire the night life. It was beautiful and had a really amazing night skyline. We could even see the Tokyo Tower from where we were standing.

So that was how we spent the first day of June.
